Cletis A. Deckard

Cletis was a member of Bethel Lane Community Church. He retired from Westinghouse. He enjoyed feeding and watching the birds, taking care of his yard, and spending time with his family and friends; especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.

Cletis is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Helen (Dalton) Deckard; his three sons, Bob (Marianne) Dalton, Terry (Linda Sue) Deckard, and Mike Deckard; his daughter, Donna (Ken) Taylor; a brother, Louie (Nancy) Deckard; two sister-in-laws, Shirley Hayes and Mary Gill; ten grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three grandsons, Tyler Dalton, Davy Jo Dalton, and Terry Deckard, Jr.; three brothers, Chauncy Deckard, Charles Deckard, and Rollace Ray Deckard; and two sisters, Stella Langley and Dora Mae Deckard.

The family will hold a memorial service later on in 2022.

The family would like to thank the staff of I.U. Hospice House and for the hospice nurses that came out to the house to care for Cletis.
