

Clyde Marvin Whaley, 81, of Bloomington passed away Monday, June 14, 2021 in his residence. He was born October 1, 1939 in Bloomington to Clyde Whaley and Thelma Young Whaley. He was retired from Otis Elevator.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mary Belle Manship Whaley of Bloomington; two sons, Clyde “Mike” (Amy) Whaley of Indianapolis and Rex Whaley of Bloomington; three sisters, (Betty Sparks of Rockford, IL, Brenda (Cliff) Lee of New Zealand and Belve Burch of Greenwood; five grandchildren, Mathew Sparks, Ryan Whaley, Chris Whaley, Morgan Whaley and Justin Byers; a daughter-in-law, Leanne (Lloyd) Rachels; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Damon Whaley; a sister, Barbara Wong-Breese; and two brothers-in-law, Ken Sparks and Al Burch.
Clyde was a member of Liberty Church of Christ. He was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed taking extended trips with Mary Belle on their motorcycles, he enjoyed spending time with family and doing yard work. He served his country in the United States Army.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Monday, June 21, 2021 at 12:00 PM in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E Third St. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Visitation is scheduled prior to services on Monday from 10:00 AM to service time of 12:00 noon.
