Darlene Ann Guest

Darlene Ann Guest, of Bloomington passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Evergreen Village in Bloomington. Born June 1, 1954 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Albert Owen and Lela (Christy) Guest. Darlene worked at Indiana University in Food Services as a food preparer. She was a life-long resident of Bloomington and had attended the First Church of the Nazarene. She loved spending time with her family. Her great joy was watching her granddaughter, Hallie, attain all her accomplishments thus far.

Darlene is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Geoffrey) Owen, of Bloomington and her granddaughter, Hallie Owen, her step-son, Chad Cherry, of Auburn, Washington and five additional grandchildren, Taylor Cherry, Logan Cherry, Ainsleigh Cherry-Palu and her husband, Zac, Kiahna Cherry and Ariel Kinder, three great-grandchildren, her sister, Ruth (Charles) Hay, of Bloomington and one brother, Don Guest, of Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Guest.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home; 4150 E. Third St. with Rev. Patrick Shay officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit the family at the funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m.
