Della Lois Brosman Wray

Born October 12, 1934, in Bloomington, she was the daughter of the late William Byrd and Zelma (Spurgeon) Brosman.

Della was a lifelong resident of Unionville. She graduated from Unionville high school in 1954. After high school she married Robert "Bud" Wray of Bloomington. Della was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, and Grandma. Della provided childcare for many families in the Unionville community. She held a special place in her heart for her 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was an active member in the Bridge Church of Christ. Della was a member of the Unionville Senior Citizens Center. In 2007 she was awarded the Senior Honoree Award for her service to the community.

Della had many hobbies including quilting, cake decorating, scrapbooking and family genealogy.

Della is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert "Bud" Wray. She is also survived by her children Russell E. Wray of Seymour, Nancy J. Lazell of Bloomington, Tommy L. Wray of Mitchell and Kathy L. Bowman of Bloomington; and her grandchildren Jason and John Lazell, Ryan and Mechalla Wray, Matt and Katie Bowman and two great-grandchildren, Jenna and Brooklynn Lazell. She is also survived by one sister, Esther Wathen, and two sisters in-law, Wanda McClary and Wilma Hartsock.

Della was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, three brothers and one nephew.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Bridge Church of Christ in Unionville, with Brother Russell Minett officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, July 20, 2012 from 3:00-8:00 pm at Day Funeral Home. Visitations will continue at Bridge Church of Christ on Saturday at 10:00 am. Services will follow at 11:00 am.
