Donald was born on June 12, 1933 in Bloomington, Indiana. With pride and honor he served his country in the United States Air Force, having fought during the Vietnam War. Most of his life was spent in Bloomington, Indiana until his move to Warner Robins in 1996. His loving wife, Mildred Carpenter and parents, William and Maude Carpenter, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his daughter, Betty Snowden (Mark), of Warner Robins, Georgia; granddaughters, Laurie Bressler (Ken), Warner Robins, Georgia and Dawn Smith (Sidney), of Talbotton, Georgia and great grandchildren, Emily, Brooke and Zach Bressler and Hannah, Marshall and Jessie Smith and his cat Zipper.
Friends may visit the family on Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home; 4150 E. Third St. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2015 in Valhalla Memory Gardens where the Monroe Veterans Honor Guard will provide military rites.
