Dear Family and Friends, I was so saddened by Donna's passing, I know that words cannot convey it, and that nothing I say to you, will make any of you feel better. Someone mentioned a falling star... so she will leave a flaming trail for us to remember. Just remember when you look into the sky at night, that her love still showers upon us........Patty

It's been awhile since we've talked but I'm here for you, and I will continue to be here for you in the weeks and months ahead. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

I will miss working with Donna every day and sharing her stories of her family with her.  I especially loved to hear about Peapod, Presley, and all the precious things she said.  I know that Sonny Even at Night, was truly her Knight in Shining Armor, and I want to thank him especially for taking such good care of my friend and making her life happy.

Donna was a small person with a big heart. I knew her since 1982 when
my husband and I joined the High Energy Physics group. Donna was our group secretary.  She was always friendly and efficient, but she liked a special challenge. She was at her best helping host large meetings and solving problems of absent-minded visitors.

I was overlwhelmed by Donna's sympathy when my husband succumbed to cancer
three years ago. I have a small item
that makes me think of Donna every day: a mouse pad with an image of my
grandchildren, a consolation gift from
Donna.

Donna's death is indeed a sad event in my live. Like the rest of us, she contributed a good portion of her life to the success of the department and to the physics we do and teach. In particular the High Energy Group was enormously fortunate to have Donna as our secretary for many years. It was because of Donna's highly professional and extraordinarily efficiency that the High Energy Group was so productive. She always and eagerly took on and executed responsibilities well beyond the level of mere excellence. I also had the good fortune of having Donna as my course assistant these last few years. Life is a pleasure when your teaching goes well. With Donna
it always did. I say goodbye with great sadness and will miss her greatly.

Donna was such a vital member of the physics department family for so many years. For many of those years, Donna was the secretary for my class, and she always was wonderful and caring in all she did. Future semesters just won't be the same without her. I dearly miss Donna, and extend my heartfelt condolences to her family.

Donna was always a bright light here in the Physics Department. As the former assistant to the Experimental Particle Physics group, and then helping us with teaching administration, she always "took good care of us" with a friendly and cheerful presence, and she will be dearly missed. My heartfelt sympathies and condolences to family and friends. Unfortunately I will be out of town during the services, but you will definitely remain in my thoughts.

My condolences to your family, my dear friend. I know the arms of the angels have carried you away to the bosom of the Father, and you are at rest in Him. You were the best friend I've ever had and there will be no replacement. My sincere sympathies to Donna's family.  I worked with her for many years, and found her diligent, professional and an intensely private person.  Personally, I saw her as someone who cared deeply for her family, especially her little granddaughter, Presley, or Peapod as she called her.  I will miss Donna's stories about Presley, and in particular, the way her face lit up and her eyes danced, in the telling.  She loved, and was loved in return.

I'm so sorry to hear of Donna's passing. I don't have a memory from early childhood that doesn't somehow include her, Jeannie, or Robbie. They were like an extension of my own family. Please know that you're in my thoughts and I'll hold you in my prayers.
