Elizabeth was a nurturing homemaker, who also worked at Sarkes Tarzan. She tirelessly worked
to provide for her family for many years. She was an unwavering grandmother, taking care of
many grandchildren after she raised her children. In her later years, when she was alone, she
spent a lot of time studying her bible, journaling what she was learning, with the goal of
becoming like Jesus. She was a long standing and dedicated member of Stanford Baptist Church,
where she enjoyed working with kids in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School; many called
her grandma. She was an avid gardener her entire life, canning vegetables and modestly winning
the war against weeds in her flower gardens. She was an excellent seamstress and quilter, who
made dozens of quilts for friends and family, each one carefully stitched with love.
In lieu of flowers Elizabeth would have liked donations to her church of 60 some years.
A visitation for Elizabeth will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Stanford Baptist Church, 8918 W Hinds Road, Stanford, Indiana, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
