Guy E Jones

Guy Evan Jones, age 61, of Bloomington, formerly of Terre Haute died Friday at the I.U. Health; Bloomington Hospice House. Born August 2, 1956 in Evansville, Indiana, he was the son of Raymond Ernest and June Carol (Beldon) Jones. Guy was a graduate of Vincennes University and served our country in the U.S. Air Force. Guy worked as a supervisor in a plastic film manufacturing facility in Terre Haute. He was an avid tennis player, loved to golf, play darts and collect antiques. He was a Seinfeld fan. He was of the Christian faith.

Guy is survived by his son, Ryan Jones, of Bloomington, his daughter, Therese Vernon, of Bloomington; three grandchildren, Kyland Hamm, Kennedy Mobley and Carter Mobley and by two brothers and sisters-in-law; David and Teresa Jones, of Bloomington and Doug and Dorothy Jones, of McKinney, Texas.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Lois Jones and one brother, Ernie Jones.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home; 4150 E. Third St. Funeral services will be private.

The family wants to thank all the staff at I.U. Health; Infusion Center, Bloomington Hospital Critical Care Unit and the Bloomington Hospice House for their loving care during Guy’s illness.
