Ken Deckard

Ken Deckard, 65, of Bloomington, entered into rest on Thursday, September 25, 2014. He was a drywaller of 46 years and was a man that truly loved his family and friends. He also thoroughly enjoyed working on his farm.

Ken was preceded in death by his father Clarence Cecil Deckard, his mother Betty Sue Lentz and brothers: Len Deckard and Brett McCarter.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years Kris Deckard, his children: Jerry Deckard, Jimmy(Belinda)Deckard, Kimmy(Tracy)Morron, John Deckard, and Wendy(Troy)Hedrick.

Ken is also survived by his aunt Nancy Busenbark, mother Rosemary Deckard, four sisters: Connie(Harold Prince)Rose, Shirley Haggard, Beverly(Gary)Stout, Judy(Bruce)Barnes, two brothers: Ron(Sandy)Gray, Billy(Debbie)McCarter, and his grandchildren: Stacey Morron, Josh Morron, Jaymee Deckard, Morgan Spangle, Kyla Hedrick, James Deckard, Jacob Deckard, Leona Morron, and Jordan Deckard, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Ken will be dearly missed by many.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 1-8 p.m. in Day &Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E. Third St., Bloomington, IN 47401. The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 12 noon with visitation from 11:00a.m. until time of service also in the funeral home. The Rev. Jimmy Deckard officiating. Burial will be in Duncan Cemetery in Brown County.
