Larry Wayne Lawrence

Larry Wayne Lawrence, age 75, of Solsberry, Indiana, passed away Friday, September 8, 2023 at I.U. Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born March 23, 1948 in Bloomington, Indiana, he was the son of Wayne Lawrence and Clarice (Walls) Lawrence Martin. Larry was a graduate of Bloomington High School. He worked as a master auto mechanic all his life, retiring from the Curry Auto Group. He enjoyed watching westerns, fishing, camping, racing stock cars, raising chickens and spending precious time with his family. He was of the Christian faith. He was a member of the White River Poultry Club.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, LaDonna (Holtsclaw) Lawrence, of Solsberry; two daughters and their spouses, Terri and Tim Harrison and Mindy and Kenneth Parrish, all of Bloomington, one son Frank Lawrence, of Bloomington, one brother, Randy Lawrence, of Bloomington; twelve grandchildren, Chris Harrison, Brandon Harrison, Devin Harrison, Ty Williamson, Lindsey Wilson, Ethan Wilson, Tyler Parrish, Levi Parrish, Ava Lawrence, Ally Lawrence, Levi Lawrence and Elijah Lawrence and four great-grandchildren, Weston and Jackson Harrison , Blakely Hudson, and Brecken Harrison.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bill and Rick Lawrence.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Don English officiating.

The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the American Heart Association.
