

Linda Lucille Belden, age 79, of Bloomington, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024 at the I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital. Born March 16, 1944 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of John and Sarah (Jones) Lucas. Linda retired from assembly work at Otis Elevator after 24 years of service. Linda loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Whitehall Wesleyan Church.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Hubert Walker Belden, Jr. of Bloomington; her children, Hubert Walker (Bobbie) Belden III, of Avon, Laura Childers of Springville, Sonya (Michael) Shahan of Owensburg, John Ramage of Bloomington and Kevin Ramage, of Avon; fifteen grandchildren, Ryan Hubert Walker Belden IV, Trista Ramage, Jessica Cole, Acacia Ramage-Murray, Timothy Ramage, Celia Eagan, Robert Belden, Joseph Belden, Amber Shahan Neidlinger, Sheyenne Childers, Shania Childers, Dakota Childers, Mary Helen Pierce and Michael Shahan, Jr. and fifteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty May of Bloomington; one brother, Lee Lucas, of Arizona; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Lester Lucas, William Lucas and Jim Lucas and three sisters, Annice Henry, Frances Wampler and Barbara May.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2024 at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 East Third Street, with Pastor Donnie Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Thursday, February 15, 20241 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
