

Mary Katherine “Kate” Robertson, of Bloomington passed away peacefully Friday evening surrounded by her family. Born March 28, 1924 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Harry O. and Sylvia I. (Jamison) Williams. She retired as the secretary to the Dean of Graduate Studies in the I.U. Jacobs School of Music and was a member of Clear Creek Christian Church. She loved reading, especially biographies, music of all kinds and dancing. She was a loving mother, grandmother and caregiver to her family.
Kate is survived by her son, Ernie (Marilyn) Robertson, of Bloomington; daughter, Teresa Meyer; of Clear Creek; son-in-law, John Scott, of Kirtland, Ohio; grandchildren: Andy (Lisa) Scott, Jennifer (Dennis) Papineau, Jason (Jessica) Meyer, Catie (Erik) Schamel, Andrea Meyer, and Beverly (Jeff) Martinez, thirteen great-grandchildren, one brother-in-law, Robert Weddle, of Bloomington, one brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Phyllis Brinegar, of Crane City, Indiana and many nieces and nephews.
Kate was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 70 years, Warren Eugene “Gene” Robertson on September 8, 2015, one daughter, Joy Lynne Scott and two brothers, Robert Williams and Raymond Williams.
Funeral services for Kate will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home; 4150 E. Third St. with David Lee presiding. Burial will follow in the Clear Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home.
