Norma Jean (Mullis) Patton

Norma Jean (Mullis) Patton, 80 of Bloomington, IN passed away surrounded by her family at home on Tuesday evening August 29, 2023. She was born on November 13, 1942 in Bloomington, IN and she was the youngest of eleven children of the late Lewis & Clara Mullis.

She married her late husband, Kenneth on August 25, 1961, the love of her life.

Norma was a well-known real estate broker and contractor in Monroe County. After she retired from General Electric she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends mushroom hunting, fishing, camping, boating, gardening, and just sitting on the porch. She will be deeply missed and remembered daily.

Norma is survived by her son, Rick Patton and his wife Lisa; her daughter, Misty Patton; ten grandchildren, Rachel, Katie, Jacob, Ricky, Luke, Kenlee, Kaleb, Kayden Troy, Chris, and Jennifer; ten great grandchildren; and many other beloved family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Patton, Sr.; her son, Kenneth Patton Jr.; and two grandchildren, Kenneth Patton, III and Makayla Jean; and also son-in-law William J. Smith.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home and interment will follow at Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home.
