Patricia "Patti" Ann Meadows

Patricia Ann Meadows (Laramie), aged 63, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on January 16th, 2025. She was born November 29, 1961 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Jane and Raymond Laramie. The family moved to Oscoda, Michigan when she was 4 where she grew up and attended Oscoda High School, where she was a cheerleader graduating in 1979.

Patti spent 13 months in Greenland, where she work for ITT under a government contract. She loved seeing the arctic foxes and musk ox when she dared to go outside.

Returning to the states and the warmer climate of Indiana, she worked for MCI Telecommunications for 17 years, during which time she married and had 2 children, Austin Brodie and Evelyn Brodie Meadows.

She married the love of her life, David Meadows in 2004, who became a dad to her children and with whom she shared so many good times and great memories.

Patti is survived by her husband David, her beautiful children Austin and Evelyn, her sister Linda, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Jane, sister Sherry, and nephew Jason Ablett.

There will be a viewing for family and friends at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home on Wednesday January 22nd from 4-7pm and a celebration of life in Oscoda later this year to spread Patti’s ashes at her favorite spot on Lake Huron. Date to be determined.

There will be no service other than the viewing as Patti wished to be cremated so a gathering of friends was all she wanted. In lieu of flowers Patti asks you to donate to New Hope for Families (newhope4families.org) or your favorite charity in her name.
