He is survived by his wife Sharon K Brewer (Lowe), son Raymond D Brewer Jr of Napoleon Ohio, Stepson Sherman D. (Alicia) Fosnight and estranged stepson Shawn (Angie) Fosnight, 11 precious grandchildren and 5 wonderful great grandchildren, sister Bernice (Brewer) Monning of Ashland Oregon, brother Ivan Brewer Sr. of Bloomington In.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Arley Brewer, Eldon Brewer and Olis Brewer and sister Mable Owens (Brewer).
Ray was a watch maker for 10 years in Salem, Indiana. Then he went to California for a year, but he did not enjoy it there so he returned to Indiana. God then opened up a door for him and he was hired on at Crane on civil service. He worked there for 31 years where he retired in January of 1999. From January 1999 through 2011 he spent his winters in nice, sunny and warm Donna, TX where he enjoyed playing music for the Lord at the jams. He was an avid hunter, having four trophies to show for it, he was a fisherman, carpenter, woodworker and enjoyed riding his ATV, along with his love for music and enjoyment for his steel guitar. He was a dedicated supporter of the Right to Life, because he was a walking miracle himself. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed.
