Roberta Faye Mann

Roberta Faye Mann, age 86, of Bloomington, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022 at the I.U. Health; Bloomington Hospice House. Born November 17, 1935 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Eathel and Jean (Langley) Kinser. Roberta worked in customer service and enjoyed growing flowers, gardening, creating, family, and adventure (including stock car driving in her youth and parasailing at age 79). She was a supporter of the Highland Village Pentecostal Church and countless charities.

Roberta is survived by her daughter, Joetta (Steve) Mullis, of Bloomington; two sons, Robin (Cindy) Mann of Bloomington, and Brady (Jenni) Mann of Ellettsville; three sisters, Mary Catherine “Katty” Knight, Reba Jewel (Fred) Wiley and Shirley Anne (Bob) Long, all of Bloomington and surrounding areas; ten grandchildren, Troy Mullis (Lisa), Andy Mullis, Roberta Escobar (Juan), Valarie Bannister (Roy), Jason Mann (Jana), Brent Mann (Rachel), Thane Mann, Mickiah Mauder (Brayden), Elaysa Mann, and Zarren Mann; sixteen great-grandchildren, Ayneslie Hutchinson (Trevor), Alyssa Hefner (Jason), Zachary Mullis (Emili), Grayce Mullis, Madyson Mullis, Jaycob Mullis, Keegan Bannister, Kendan Bannister, Kayden Mann, Kenzington Mann, Kenna Mann, Kingston Mann, Rosalyn Mann, Hazel Mann, Jeshua Escobar, Erickson Mann; three great-great-grandchildren, Declan Hutchinson, Saylor Hutchinson, Deacon Hefner; and 25 nieces, nephews, and their families who she loved dearly.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, Eathel and Jean Kinser; husband, John Jay “Junior” Mann; two sisters, Linda Gilliland and Audrey Barrow, one brother, Sheldon Kinser, four brothers-in-law, Melvin Gilliland, William “Bill” Mann, Paul Barrow, and Frank Knight, and two sisters-in-law, Mildred “Rusty” McCoy (Mann), and Virginia “Ginger” Brummett (Mann).

The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 10th, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home; 4150 E. Third St. with Brent Mann officiating. Burial will follow in Payne Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, October 9th, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
