Roger Dale Spoonmore

Roger Dale Spoonmore, 70, of Bloomington, IN passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020. He was born June 21, 1949 in Bloomington, IN the son of the late Cecil and Ruth Spoonmore. Roger was a United States Air Force Veteran, serving from 1967-1971. He was in Vietnam from 1968-1969. After the service he became an Engineering Technician from 1971-2004 and retired from Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane. He was a member of Southern Hills Church of Christ where he was a former deacon. He was also a former director at Spring Mill Bible Camp. He was a member of Monroe Masonic Lodge #22. Bloomington York Rite, Stone Belt Shrine Club, and he was a Scottish Rite Mason. He enjoyed fishing, golf, woodworking, and spending time with his family and friends; especially his grandchildren. Roger is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Rose Ann Spoonmore; his two sons, Ryan Spoonmore and his wife Beth of Greenwood, IN and Ricky Spoonmore and his wife Lori of Bloomington, IN; and his two grandchildren, Harper and Lincoln Spoonmore A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2020 at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Pat Arthur. Following the memorial service the Monroe County Veterans Honor Guard and Air Force will conduct military rites. Masonic funeral rites will be held on Friday at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m.
