Steven Glenn Sheppard, age 70, of Bloomington, passed away Saturday evening, January 18, 2015 at his son’s residence. Born March 20, 1954 in Oceanside, California, he was the son of Palmer and Leona (Young) Sheppard. Steven was a graduate of Bloomington High School North, class of 1972. He retired from Indiana University where he was a custodian for Building Services. He enjoyed stone carving, his Star Wars Legos and his private time.
He is survived by his sons, John (Christy Burton) Sheppard, of Bloomington and William H Sheppard, of Dunnellon, Florida; his two daughters, Jessica Collier, of Bloomington and Amber Smythe Jasckson and her husband, Jamal, of Bloomington., one brother, Thomas C. Sheppard, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, one sister, Nancy Reynolds, of Bloomington, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
There will be a memorial service at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home in Bloomington on Thursday, January 30 at 5:00 p.m. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00 p.m.to 5:00 p.m.
