Thelma Ann Stevens, 77, of Bloomington died Wednesday, December 05, 2018 in Hearthstone Health Campus. She was born March 28, 1941 in Carmel, IN to John Estes and Lula Hubble Estes. She was retired from Bloomington High School South.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Morris Stevens of Bloomington; two sons, Morris Dean Stevens of Bloomington and Richard Stevens of North Vernon; 2 granddaughters; a brother, Ernie (wife Sharon) Estes of Norman; two sisters, Helen Christine Sheridan of Mooresville and Charlotte Carner of Ottawa, KS; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Greg Stevens, a brother, John Edward Estes; and two sisters, Frieda Joyce Loughmiller and Beverly Joan Estes.
Thelma enjoyed going fishing in Lake Monroe, going to still board shoots and watching racing at Bloomington and Brownstown Speedways.
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends on Monday, December 10, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in Day & Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, 4150 E Third ST. Funeral Services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Harold Godsey officiating. Burial will follow in Kurtz Cemetery.
