I was fortunate enough to be part of Coach Frohliger's first basketball team at BHS.  Despite our dismal regular season including losing to the Univees,  Coach remained positive.  After losing to an Evansville school on a Friday night, Coach had a Saturday morning practice.  A few of us were in his office after practice and he told us he believed we had the ability to make it to the semi-state ( we were probably 2 and 7 at the time).  Over the rest of the season his positive attitude and more importantly his coaching began to have an effect.  Our last game was indeed the afternoon game of the semi-state a three point loss to Seymour ( lost by 30 to the same team early in the regular season).  To get there we avenged regular season losses to U school and Martinsville in the Sectionals and won the Terre Haute Regional.  It was all COACH.  He gave me quite a memory!

I am sorry to hear of Coach Frohliger's passing.  He was my golf coach at Bloomington South.  I had the pleasure of playing on his teams for 4 years. We had some good teams.  We won the sectional in 1975, finished third in the regional and went to the state finals that year!  He also served as AD during those years. To say the least he was a busy man.  However, he always took the time for his family and talked about them all the time.  He will be missed.

Mr. Frohliger is the first teacher who made me enjoy a math class! I was in his class at BHS and he was one of my favorite teachers.  I will say a prayer for him and his family.

I had the pleasure of caring for Mr. Frohliger, I have great memories of him in class at Dyer Jr. High, a few years back! Through his math lessons he taught me how to think logically.   Little did I know then that he was giving me a great gift.  His teachings have provided me with the ability to work through many of life's logic problems.   Thank you Mr. Frohliger.  My prayers to all of your family.

Mr. Frohliger was my high school (Bloomington High)  math, geometry teacher. He was the best teacher and I always loved his classes. I remember some of my classmates calling me the teacher's pet because he called on me alot but it was because I loved math and I loved his classes so I always done my homework and he knew that. I was honored and lucky to have known Mr Frohliger as a neighbor, coach and teacher.  When my Dad passed in 1967 and we lived 2 doors away, he always included me and my brother in the family sporting events...kickball in the cul-de-sac at the top of Parkview drive especially. Bill, aka "Froggy" was my first varsity BB coach at Cathedral during the 1957-58 season. As I recall ,he led us to an undefeated 10-0 start. I also recall that infamous blue "upside down bathtub" looking sedan he piloted (but I believe it was a Nash) .He was a good leader for us kids, gentle and well respected. May God rest his soul! Bill and I met first in 1964 when he coached at Cathedral and I was sup't at Ben Davis, and Cathedral won.  We wove in and out of each other's lives through the years, as he worked in the MCCSC and in retirement.  He was a hard worker, a dedicated teacher, coach, teacher leader and was humble in those roles, though he was a competitor.  He never called me Harmon, it was always Dr. Baldwin - even when I asked otherwise.  The world needs more Bill's.  May he rest in peace, and may God's grace comfort his family.

During the late 50's I played on the Freshmen baskball and Reserve teams and had a lot of contact with Coach Frohliger. I am so sorry for your loss.

Bill Frohliger is one of finest teachers and coaches I had at Cathedral High School.  From what I have read he was a fine Husband, Father and Grandfather.  To his family, I want you to know he was just as good Teacher, Coach and Mentor.

Coach was a good man. He is a large part of my fond memories from high school. My thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family.

Mr. Frohliger was the athletic director of my high school...I vividly remember his leading a cheer during a pep rally with extreme vigor.  He was also the father of my best friend and just a lovely, lovely man.  I was blessed to be included in their family Turkey Day football games.  My prayers are with the family.

I recall Mr. Frohliger as one of the many memorable teachers and otherwise role models at Cathedral in the early 1960s. Although I think my contacts with him were primarily in PE and non-classroom activities, he left a lasting impression. A truly great personality. Mr Frohliger was one of my teachers and also my driver's ed teacher.  He was such an awesome man.  My prayers are with his family.

"Froggy", you were a great coach, teacher and mentor for me and the rest of my basketball team mates at Dear Old Cathedral in 1960. I still remember vividly, the Saturday morning practices when you would bring your sons little Billy and Johnny with you. Your old Hudson sedan that you drove and used to transport us to the "road" games was a real jewel. You made a life-long impression on me that has lasted until today. "Thanks for the memories" You will be blessed in heaven for all of your good deeds.

Mr. Frohliger was one of my teachers at CHS ('65") and he cut me from the freshman basketball team.  Perhaps the fact that I wasn't any good may have played into my being cut.  But I liked him as a teacher.  I don't think I ever got a "board meeting" in his classes.  He did not like being called "Froggy" though, I learned that early.  I'm sorry to hear of his passing and my condlences to your family.  He was a nice man.
