Zella Margaret Hyde, age 94, of Bloomington, passed away, Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Cedarhurst Assisted Living Center in Bloomington. Born June 23, 1927 in Monroe County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Elmer Hester Frye and Mary (Wootten) Frye. Zella worked at R.C.A. in the “secret room” during W.W. II. She retired from R.C.A, Zella loved spending time outdoors, gardening and watching T.V. Westerns.
Zella is survived by many nieces and nephews, including David (Linda) Hyde and Luvilla Spencer, both of Bloomington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rex Hyde on April 23, 2013, one sister, Delight Flater and one brother, Eustace L. Frye.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home; 4150 E. Third St; Bloomington with Rev. Ray New officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
