Linda Marie Davis, a compassionate, devoted, and Godly woman, passed away on January 15, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on July 4, 1948, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Linda was a faithful individual who touched the lives of many throughout her years.
Linda held a 3 year degree from ACTS, the Adult Christian Training Centre, in Calgary, Alberta which laid the foundation for her lifelong devotion to her faith and community. She received her degree from Pastor George Lagore, the head institute of ACTS where he also awarded her the Peter Lagore Memorial Award for outstanding personal improvement. At this school, Linda bravely gave a sermon in front of 1700 people, all from the faith in her heart. She achieved this because of what the school did for her, and because of what she knew the school's guidance could do for others. Linda later went on to complete an Associate degree at Bellevue College, formerly known as Bellevue Community College.
Her career was marked by her role as a personal assistant for her dear friend, Jessie Whitely, a position she held for over 20 years. Her role was defined by handling all the needs of the house including, running a home, personnel, paperwork of the home, and repairs of the home. Linda was also a wonderful homemaker. She demonstrated great detail by sculpting teeth at Denny Dental Laboratory, in Bellevue Washington. Alongside Lynn Couch, known as "The Lip Lady," Linda was a skilled partner in selling long-lasting lip products.
Linda and her beloved husband, James Edward Davis III, known affectionately as JD, shared 30 loving years of marriage. Together, they created a loving family and contributed significantly to their community.
In addition to her professional achievements, Linda was proud of her past as a ballerina, showcasing her grace and dedication in all aspects of her life. Her community involvement was profound; she and JD created a Christian referral group called "GateKeypers," which served as a valuable resource for businesses. Linda's compassion was further exemplified through her sewing of blankets for single mothers to give to their children, spreading warmth and love around the world with her handmade creations.
Linda was a prayer warrior. She was a faithful and devoted Christian, and this was evident by her prayer and work in her community and abroad. During a trip in Africa, she attended several orphanages and prayed over the children there every time.
Under Linda, she had over 25 ushers and greeters from the East Side Four Square Church, in Kirkland Washington, for 27 years. During her time with the church, she volunteered which became a large and important part of her and JD's lives together. On one instance, Linda hand made 350 bags with personal care items containing things like toiletries, socks, gloves and even a Bible verse. Linda, JD and the ushers delivered them to the homeless in Seattle. Linda deemed these her "love bags".
Linda is survived by her loving spouse, James Edward Davis III; her brother, Craig Maxie; and her children: daughter Holly Sells (RJ Carron, along with stepchildren Georgia and Shayne Carron), son Adam Sells, daughter Jennifer Indahl, and son Philip Sells (Haley Retka).
She is also remembered by her grandchildren, Ethan and Naomi Indahl, as well as her niece, Shannon (Scott) Thomas, who was like an adopted daughter to her, and Shannon's children, Alicia and JJ Thomas.
Before going home to the Father, Linda found peace while listening to her favorite song, I Can Only Imagine by Mercy Me. Her final resting place will be at Abbey View Memorial Park, in Brier, Washington.
One of her proudest achievements was her work with the Bothell Kenmore Chamber of Commerce. Linda, JD and JD's mother, all worked to create the Student Scholarship program which has been thriving for 16 years. Their work has led the way for many students to transition into higher education and achieve their dreams. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the scholarship foundation program with the Bothell Kenmore Chamber of Commerce. Services will be held on April 17, 2026 at Evergreen Church in Bothell, Washington, at 4:00 PM. In honor of Linda, please wear something pink.
