Robert "Bob" Allen Helm

In loving memory; Husband, Father, Papa, Great Grandpa and Friend

Bobby was born in the depression years in the small town of Bothell. Raised by his mom and grandparents, with his younger sister Marva Lee.

Bob met Marilyn in 1950 on a blind date, fell in love, and married later that year. They were married for 67 years. The young couple started their family and were blessed with 4 children. As the family grew, they moved from Seattle to Lynnwood, purchasing their first home. Bob made his career as a Safeway Produce Manager, working at stores in King and Snohomish County, where he made many lifelong friends.

Bob had a talent for photography, enjoyed spending time in his greenhouse, loved Whidbey Island and vacationing in Hawaii with lifelong friends.

He is survived by his 4 children: Bruce, Susan (Jon), Lane (Dawn), and Robin (Tim). Papa to 7 and Great Grandpa to 10. He was proceeded in death by his loving wife Marilyn, mother Veryle, sister Marva Lee, Grandparents Fletcher and Martha, and special uncle Lou.

Our father never complained or said a bad word about another human. He was a dedicated family man who took care of his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 1st at 11:30am, Reception to follow.
