I loved Todd. He was my Elementary  School Librarian. He would always go out of his way to get us a book about a topic we found interesting. He was one of the kindest people I’ve ever met in my life.  I’m so sad to see him gone. I miss him everyday.

Todd McKnight  was a very nice librarian, and I loved him so much.  Things shouldn't have been different if he hadn't died. When he died, I was crying this whole time. You would have loved him very much if you didn't get a chance to meet him. He was our perfect librarian, and we wish him good luck in his afterlife.

Mr. Mcknight was our beloved librarian and a loving father. He didn't deserve to die because he was to young. I hope that his story gets passed on and everyone knows his name.

This is one of his library students. He was my favorite librarian. in forth grade I got be part of a really special program with him called battle of the books. battle of the the books is a district reading competition.he helped my team land a solid 14th place. I mass him so much!

I am so thankful to the Navy for bringing our two families, the McKnights and the Wongs, together in Key West in the late 80’s. Our families became the best of friends during this tour. My parents, Phil, and Sandy have countless stories of their fun and adventurous travels together, cocktail hours, dinners, beach days, and closing down The Green Parrot once or twice. Todd and I are the same age and went to high school together in Key West.  He was the kind of friend everyone should have, especially in high school when everything is a little weird and you’re just not sure who is really your friend. He was fun, witty, smart, interesting, and a truly nice person.  We all made the best of our time in military ( waterfront)  housing there in Key West and took the boat out  hydrosliding  and water skiing regularly . If I remember correctly, Scott and Todd were good at both and I just tried to not wipe out as soon as the boat took off. Neither made  me feel bad about my lack of wave-jumping skills.

Over the years,  we all managed to still get together on college breaks to do the Duval Crawl ( making our parents proud ), and have family Christmas gatherings on the beach. We’ve stayed connected through our parents mostly over the years and it has been wonderful to hear about Todd and Jenny raising their two boys as we also have two boys (I feel like this creates an instant bond regardless of where you are). 

Since the news of Todd’s passing, I have spent a lot of time thinking  back to these years in Key West and can honestly say that these were the best years of my young adult life, in large part due to your family’s friendship and the good times we have had together. 

Todd is going to be so incredibly missed by his family, friends, and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. We are sending our love and sincere condolences during this especially difficult time.

The best word I can think of to describe Todd is kind. I was the speech pathologist at his school until I retired a couple of years ago. Many times he helped me find books in the library that I needed for specific class or therapy lessons. And he did it cheerfully. Todd was fun, and I have great memories of hearing his hearty laugh a long way down the hall. Such a great sound in what could be a stressful environment. It was clear that Todd cared about the staff and students. He was unpretentious, comfortable in his own skin, and he didn’t take himself too seriously. He was a genuinely kind person. I know the members of the staff at Cedar Way are grieving deeply and much more-so his family. He loved them and was so proud of his kids. My heart is with you all, and I send you deep condolences.

It was a pleasure ALWAYS to work with Todd. As a nurse at school, he and I didn't cross work paths, so to speak, very frequently and so instead when we shared a moment it was usually about the good stuff - family and life goals and fun that we've recently had. Todd loved to talk about his boys, and the stage of development they were at and you couldn't help but see how proud he was of them. He also just recently shared how instrumental their mom  has been to them and him. Todd was always so quick to laugh and I think he and I saw eye to eye on most things or maybe he just came across that way and so conversations with him were always easy and agreeable and enjoyable. A lot of tears have been shed at the news of his passing and I know many more are to come. He was a dear man and I'm sure he brightened his students' days like he did mine. I will miss his infectious laughter and sense of humor and thank you, the family, for giving us this avenue to share our thoughts. I wish you all the best during this period of intense mourning and am grateful that I got to know your dad and husband  for these past several years.
