
Alvin F. Beu went to be with the Lord and join his wife in heaven on March 3, 2021. He was 89 years old. He was born on May 24, 1931 to Herman D.J. Beu and Sophia Margaret (Guthals) Beu. Alvin is survived by his sister-in-law Mary Elizabeth (Julien) Beu of Pueblo, CO; children Margaret I. “Peggy” Jacks (Gene) of LaJunta, CO, Donald John Beu of Boulder CO, Randall Alvin Beu (Fiona) of Brooklyn, NY and Willard Diedrich Beu of the family home. Also his grandchildren Donald John, Jr and Jennifer Almarine Beu of Boulder, Timothy Aaron and Caitlin Nichole Jacks of LaJunta, CO and Colin Hunter Beu of Brooklyn, NY. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Almarine Hunter Beu, his infant brother Donald John his brother Clifford John Beu, brothers and sisters-in-law Peter and Louise Hunter and Willard and Virginia Hunter and infant son Robert Wayne Beu.
Alvin graduated from Fowler High School in 1949, he then went to school at Southern Colorado State College in Pueblo, CO and worked at several farms. On September 5, 1954 he married the love of his life, Almarine Ann Hunter and together they had 5 children. He worked for Public Service Company for 32 years, retiring in September of 1986.
He was active with his sons in Indian Guides and Boy Scouts and enjoyed going to listen to his two youngest son’s choir concerts. He also enjoyed seeing and playing with his grandchildren.
He was an active member of the Boulder Amateur Radio Club and enjoyed when he was able to talk to people overseas. He was also a member the Boulder Breakfast Optimist Club, working with his wife and serving as a president and governor and they would go to many conventions throughout the U.S.
He was also active at Trinity Lutheran church. He will be missed by family and friends.
