Carol was born on January 9, 1970 in St. Louis, MO and raised by a large and loving family, then moved West to pursue her love of the outdoors in 1991. She worked as a ranger in Zion National Park and on fire crew at Dinosaur National Monument and learned to ski in Crested Butte before moving to Boulder, CO in 1994.
She taught in the Boulder and St. Vrain school districts as a middle and elementary school teacher for 18 years. Carol was forthright, humble, and kind, and never wanted to let anyone down. She loved to sing, dance, and play games of all stripes—her bright smile and infectious spirit will be deeply missed by her friends and family.
She is survived by her husband, Paul, her 8-year-old daughter, Emily, her parents Bill and Virginia McMullan (née Gorrell), and her siblings Kathleen, Bill Jr., Kevin (Liz), Glen, and Theresa (Gary). Her brother Jim preceded her in death last year.
