Dewey C Poe

Dewey Charles Poe, 90, of Loveland, CO passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014. Dewey was born on February 26, 1923 in Boulder, CO to John and Laura Poe. Dewey graduated from Boulder High in 1940. He enlisted in the Army in March of 1943 where he was made 4th Grade Medical Technician, assisting doctors in the care of the sick and injured. He was discharged in January of 1946 where he moved on to work as a Sheetmetal Engineer for Rocky Flat. Dewey loved to paint with oil, garden with his wife, Twila, fish, camp and most of all spend time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Twila Ruth Poe, sister Clarabell Jacobs of Nashville, TN, brother John Raymond Poe of Central Park, OR, daughters Arlene (Don) McCormick of Loveland, CO, Phyllis (Vic) Tisone of Pinewood Springs, CO and Sue (Charles) Stafford of Broomfield, CO, 23 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister in-law Eleanor Poe and brother in-law Lloyd "Bud" Jacobs.
