Edith Renee Dobransky

On December 23, 2012, Renee Dobransky (74) passed away peacefully after a sudden struggle with pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded with the love of her family, both near and far. Renee was born in Bronx, New York, daughter of Rudolf and Edith Cartier. On December 26, 1959, Renee was united in marriage to Robert (Bob) Dobransky in Yonkers, New York. In 1965, they made their home in south Boulder. The family lived in Tucson, Arizona for seven years (1978-1985) and returned to south Boulder. Renee was a treasured mother to seven children – Pete, Jane (Phil Pitzer), Lynn (Pence), Beth, Mark (Jennifer), Chris (Jill), and Tim (Carissa). She was a full-time, stay at home mother who could be seen supporting her children in many ways including weekend soccer games and volunteering at their schools. Renee was also a beloved and proud grandma, known as “Miss Suzie” to Jessica, Katie, Steven, Michael, Joseph, Daniel, Shelby, Emily, Lane, Sean, Sage, Anna, Aidan, Shaianne, Keylei, Talia, Max and Noah. As well as being a devoted grandmother, wife, and mother, Renee was known for her sense of humor, being a good neighbor, and her quest of finding the best deal. Her mother, father, and sisters, Joan and Louise, precede Renee in death. In addition to Renee’s children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and in-laws, Renee is also survived by her brothers, Rudy and Paul Cartier and their families, Ed and Joanne Dobransky, and Rita Wilhelm and her family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, from 5:00-7:00PM at Crist Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 10:00AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Interment will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park.
