

Evelyn Maxine Trezise, age 97, passed away peacefully on Monday 06, 2025, at her home. She was born on December 19,1927 in Fort Lupton, Colorado, to Jessie James and Clara Mae Wilmoth. She completed her Nursing school and married Farris Hiestand Trezise March 21, 1953, in Lafayette, Colorado where they raised two sons Keith (Susie) and Kerrie (Wendy). Evelyn continued to work at various institutions and hospitals. She told stories involving her career and of her father when he worked in the mines around Lafayette. She would sometimes join her father at the mines and would tell of the equipment, animals, and miners. She had stories of her grandfather’s farm and the old way of farming and life. Evelyn worked at Longmont United Hospital as Director of Nurses and Later as the Head of Central Supplies. She retired in 1984. Retirement did not last long. Her husband became ill with cancer. She cared for him until his passing. Before he became ill, they spent their time with their grandsons, Jessie (Chelsea) and Kelly. She was known to be the Trezise Matriarch. She continued to look over all until she passed. Evelyn has a sister Shirley (Fred) Powell, three grandsons Stephen, Jessie and Kelly, a granddaughter, Mackenzie (Zach), a niece Cynthia, and a nephew (Bernard). Her great- grandchildren include Finley, Wilder, Dallas and Lochlann. Those who have proceeded her in death: her parents Jessie and Clara, her husband Farris, her nephew Bernard, her brother-in-law Fred, and daughter-in-law Susie.
