

Hannah Harper passed away July 20, 2025 peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. Hannah Marie arrived in this world on Jan 1, 1932 at Boulder Community Hospital, the second daughter of Mary(Santilli) and William (Buck) Lasalle. Hannah and her sister Catherine lived their younger years in Louisville, CO, where she helped her mother at Mary's Market, an early Louisville Grocery Store. She attended Louisville schools until High School, when she moved with her mother and sister to Boulder after her dad passed away. Hannah went on to graduate from the University of Colorado and became a teacher, moving to Portland, Oregon for her first job. There she met her husband Donald Harper,a guidance counselor. After short stops in San Diego and Astoria, Oregon they moved back to Boulder.While in Boulder they started a family and had two boys, David and Doug. Hannah taught third grade at Highland, Foothills and Mesa Elementary schools for 30 years. She loved teaching and her students loved her. Many former students reached out to her years after she taught them. It always made her happy. After her and Don's retirement from Boulder Valley School District, they moved to Louisville, where they enjoyed retirement by travelling the world, Sinapore, New Zealand, Ireland, Canada, and Mexico were just some of their favorites. Hannah was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother and sister who will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband(Donald) father (Buck), mother (Mary), and sister (Catherine).
She is survived by two sons David(Lisa), Doug(Kelly), grandchildren, Preston, Tyler, and Alicia. Hannah , being a lifelong dog owner, would like to request , in lieu of flowers donations to Boulder Humane Society.
