James Paul McQuerry Jr.

Our wonderful dad and grandpa (G-Pa) James P McQuerry Jr of Boulder, CO; passed away suddenly on December 21st, 2021 surrounded by his family’s love. James was lovingly married to Diana for 37 years, until her passing in 2010. He is survived by his siblings Linda, Marc, and Ron; children Shawn and Kelli, son-in-law Kenny; and his grandsons (buddies) Karl and Adam.

James was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX. He graduated from the University of Texas-Arlington with a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. After retiring from a long career at Ball Aerospace, he started living part time in Summit County where he volunteered as a greeter and tour guide at Keystone.

A celebration of his life will take place at Community UCC in Boulder on Saturday, January 8th at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation in his name to organizations that will continue his legacy such as FIRC of Summit County, the Boulder Humane Society, Teach for America, or Impact on Education.

A memorial service for James will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Community United Church of Christ, 2650 Table Mesa Drive, Boulder, CO 80305.
