

Jeannette Barbara Longtin Hodge Gregory, born on September 6, 1924, in Tripoli, Wisconsin to Alfred and Minnie Longtin, passed away peacefully on October 26th in Louisville, Colorado, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience. She lived a vibrant life across several states, including Illinois, Florida, and Wisconsin where she created lasting memories with family and friends.
Jeannette was preceded in death by her twelve siblings and her beloved husbands, Chris Hodge and Donald Gregory. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Rohn Abbott; special friend Robert Kangas; grandchildren Bruce Abbott and Jeannette Torrents; great-grandchildren Marc and Emma Torrents; and many dear nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Jeannette was proud to have served as a Girl Scout leader, instilling a love of the outdoors and adventure in young girls. She had a passion for dancing, often bringing joy and laughter to gatherings with her tapping toes and infectious smile.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, where those who loved her can come together to share stories and honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Jeannette’s name, reflecting her compassionate spirit and love for giving.
Rest in peace, dear Jeannette. Your love and joyful spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know you.
A simple gathering for Jeannette will be held Friday, November 1, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Crist Mortuary, 3395 Penrose Place, Boulder, CO 80301.
