

Juanita Conferina Gutierrez, 66, of Longmont, Colorado passed away on June 15, 2015. Juanita was born on December 18, 1948 to Cipriano and Manuelita Olivas in Longmont, Colorado. She was one of 7 children. Since graduating high school, Juanita became a supervisor for Covidien Medical Manufaturing, a medical instrument and supply company distributing supplies worldwide. On December 3, 2010, Juanita married Joel Gutierrez, also of Longmont, Colorado.
She will be missed by all of her family. Some of their fondest memories of her past time include listening to the singing birds, going to Blackhawk, and taking the grandchildren to the park. She is remembered for her love of the monarch butterfly, and the color green, her favorite color. Juanita is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Floyd Leil, Carmela Mares, and Mary DeMiguel. She is survived by her husband, Joel; children Frances (Earl) Bieu, David Cline,
Richard (Coreen) Cline, Cindy (Phil) Medina, Denise (Leo) Gonzalez, Vicky Gutierrez, Mario (Crystal) Gutierrez, and Jose (Nadia) Gutierrez; siblings Angie Apodaca, Frank Olivas, Catalina Hovezak, and Bernie Olivas; 37 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family also recognizes her being survived by her best friend, Carmela Compian. A Memorial Service will occur this Friday, June 19th, 2015 at Bible Baptist Church of Erie at 10 AM, 5050 NE County Line Rd., Erie, Colorado, 80516. Pastor Jim Duncan will be officiating. Juanita's ashes will be laid to rest at Mountain View Memorial Park of Boulder, Colorado.
