He was a beloved husband of 56 years, a son, father, brother, and friend. Ken was born May 19, 1945 in Euclid, Ohio, and was raised in Willowick, Ohio. He is survived by his wife L. Elizabeth Anderson Herman, son Christopher, daughter Tracy, and brother Keith Herman.
Ken graduated from the University of Dayton and Penn State University with degrees in math and computer science. He was employed by Bell Labs in computer centers spanning a career of more than three decades. His early career was spent in two locations in New Jersey, in addition to Ohio and North Carolina. He then settled in Colorado, where he was a technical manager for Lucent Technologies for the rest of his career.
He loved his family, and enjoyed computers, nature photography, woodworking, and a lunch group with friends that he attended for more than twenty years. He loved music from the sixties, and his favorite song was Roy Orbison's Oh, Pretty Woman.
Ken is greatly missed and loved.
