

Larry Gene MacArthur was born in Denver, Colorado March 15, 1945 and passed away November 13, 2012 in Boulder, Colorado. He was married to his wife Jayne for more than 40 years. He has a daughter, Tara Singer, son-in-law Scott Singer, grandsons Tyler and Cade, and a son, Jed MacArthur. He is survived by five siblings (Doug, Paul, Donnie, Craig and Debbie) and their extended families. He was preceded in death by his mother, Basil Koerner MacArthur, his father, Don, and a brother, Kip. He and his son, Jed, have worked as a team in real estate at RE/MAX of Boulder for many years. Larry enjoyed life to the fullest. He was an all-state wrestler for 3 years in high school, and also ran cross country. He wrestled on scholarship at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He loved Buffs football and all sports for that matter. He was a charter member of the Boulder Road Runners and enjoyed running with friends for many years, completing a 2:53 marathon and a 34:41 10K time. He also loved old items, especially old cars. He had ‘32 Ford that was his pride and joy. He enjoyed fly fishing and playing poker. He played with the same group of friends every Thursday for about 37 years. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, selfless generosity and joy of life. He worshipped his children and his grandsons, and they will miss him greatly. A memorial service will be held at the Boulderado Hotel Conference Center on November 18th at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the PSC Partners Seeking a Cure, 5237 South Kenton Way, Englewood, CO 80111 or to www.pscpartners.org/waystodonate.
