Lois was a loving and devoted wife and mother, dedicated to raising their three daughters with love; she inspired her children to be confident, generous, kind, and motivated. Every day of her life, Lois influenced her daughters to always continue to achieve, learn, and grow and demonstrated these values when she attended computer programming night courses, calligraphy classes, quilting classes, sewing classes, and continued to learn, grow, and achieve throughout her entire life. Additionally, Lois was the National Registration Chairperson for the United States Swimming Association, worked at the Albertsons Corporate Office, volunteered at her childrens' schools every year, and supported and encouraged her daughters in multiple extra-curricular activities by attending endless swim practices and meets, piano lessons and recitals, tennis matches, and dance and drill team performances. Whenever her daughters looked up from their activity, their mom Lois was always in the audience. She also loved flowers, plants, gardening, sewing, fishing, quilting, scrapbooking, and traveling to spend time with her children. Lois was always learning, was always on the move, and always loved to be out and about and experiencing the world. Lois had a generous and beneficent nature and emanated positivity from her beautiful spirit and energetic essence and enjoyed sharing fruits, vegetables, and flowers from her garden with family, neighbors, and friends. Lois enjoyed hosting family gatherings filled with joy, love, and copious amounts of food.
Lois spent 11 years in Boulder, Colorado enjoying the beautiful mountain views, exploring the shops and restaurants, and driving through the mountains to experience nature and see all of the animals and flowers. She loved to spend time watching for wildlife and over the years saw bears, mountain lions, bobcats, foxes, golden eagles, herds of deer, and of course loved the daily visits from the birds and squirrels to which she fed peanuts. She enjoyed napping in the sun with Frazier by her side and playing with Winston (her daughter's dogs). Winston and Frazier were especially fond of Lois and loved getting attention and pets from her and reciprocated with wiggles, wagging tails, and affectionate licks.
