Milton Reid

February 18, 1951 – November 4, 2023

Milton “Milt” Reid passed away surrounded by his loved ones on November 4, 2023. He was born at St. Terese Hospital in Waukegan, IL on February 18, 1951.

Milt’s father worked in construction as a drywaller and Milt followed in his footsteps and worked in this trade for many years. The Reid family moved from Illinois to New Jersey and then to Indiana where Milt finished school and then moved back to Illinois where he met and married his first wife. They had a daughter, Danielle, in 1974. After their divorce in 1976, Milt moved to Marshall, Arkansas where his father and stepmother lived. He would travel back and forth for several years for work. On Thanksgiving in 1980 he came to visit his sister, Darlene, in Colorado and fell in love with the Colorado mountains and made it his home. He met his wife, Sandra, in Boulder, Colorado in 1984. Milt and Sandra married on September 14, 1985, and had two sons, Eric, and Joshua. Milt was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Milt and Sandra enjoyed these activities for many years.

Milt was preceded in death by his father Bill Reid.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sandra, and his children, Danielle, Eric, and Joshua, his mother, Charlene Sharp, his stepmother, Charlene Reid, his mother-in-law, Anita Gutierrez, his sisters, Darlene (Joe) Campbell and Penny Scott; and his grandchildren, Dominique, and Wednesday (Winni) and numerous nephews and nieces.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2023, from 2:00pm – 4:00pm, at Homewood Suites (Hilton), 4950 Baseline Road, Boulder, CO 80303.
