Richard Fisk Jevons of Aurora, CO passed away on February 4, 2015. Richard was born on September 16, 1935 to Arthur “Gurner” and Jennie Jevons in Wakefield, KS. He earned his Master’s degree in Geology and worked as a teacher and basketball coach. He also served in the Army Reserve and was a Mason.
Richard was a gracious friend, and caring and loving grandfather. He had a lifelong passion for the game of basketball that he successfully transferred to many, many young men through coaching and mentoring.
Richard is survived by his son Jeff Foster; grandchildren Tyler, Chase, Bryan and Kenny Foster and cousins Charles and Jim Fisk. He was preceded in death by his father Gurner, mother Jennie and brother Jack. Richard is also survived by his Golden Retriever, Fynn, who was faithfully by his side for 3 years. His other beloved dogs, Amber and Cody preceded him in death. Richard’s dogs were a treasured daily companion for him.
Memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, February 23rd, at St. Aiden’s Episcopal Church, 2425 Colorado Avenue, Boulder, CO 80302. Interment will be at Mountain View Memorial Park.
