Stanley L. Schnabel passed away May 13, 2014 at his home in Boulder, CO. He was born on May 7, 1937 to Walter and Florence Schnabel in Trenton, NE. He lived in Trenton until he graduated high school and moved to Denver, CO, where he met Wanda Reeder. Stan and Wanda were married February 16, 1958 in Englewood, CO. Stan was a hard worker. He was well known in Boulder for his knowledge of printing as well as carpet binding, and ended up with the nickname of Stan the Carpet Man. Preceding him in death are his parents and his brother, Walter "Sonny" Schnabel, Jr. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years Wanda Schnabel; daughters Debbie Thornholt of Longmont, CO and Beckie and Bob Roberts of Midland, TX; grandchildren Amber and Preston Thornholt of Longmont, Sabrina and Nicole Roberts of Midland, TX; sister Joanne Ashford of Oklahoma City, OK; special family friend Walter Thornholt; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 22nd at Crist Mortuary Chapel, Boulder, CO, at 11:00 a.m.
