Dear Richard and all the Walsdorfs,
 I still miss Susan so often, and I think of you all remembering her light and laughter and good sense. A year ago today she called from the hospital and requested an order of truffle fries from Larkburger and a copy of "The Secret".
 "Chicky-poo" I'm gonna get an order of those fries, re-read the book and try not to miss you too much while I'm at it! With great love to the family in remembrance of such a special person to us all.

Dear Bill and Mary,  I know Susan was the light of your life, as well as countless others.  Who could ever imagine that such a bright and shining life could be cut short so soon.  I am glad you moved to be closer and were able to enjoy several years with your treasured daughter.   I cannot imagine how one survives the loss of a child.  Please accept my deepest condolences. I met Susan's parents, Maryanne and Bill, in Martinsburg, W. Va.  Bill was with our local Fish Hatchery in Kearneysville, WV.  We have always kept in touch and I always enjoyed and looked forward to receiving my yearly update on their family via a Christmas Card from Maryanne and Bill.  I feel as if I knew Susan and Peter from Maryanne's very extensive 'story' of what had transpired in her family's lives that year.  I cannot begin to express how sad I am to learn of Susan's passing.  I did call Maryanne and Bill and they seem to be doing well under the circumstances.  They are folks of strong faith.   I do not believe I could be doing so well.  I know that Maryanne and Bill raised both Susan and Peter to be wonderful people.  I truly am very, very sorry for your loss. Mary, Bill and Richard.  We were so sorry to hear about Susan.She was a wonderful, caring person.  We always enjoyed she and Richard on their visits to our home in Leavenworth.  She was always so happy and fun to be around. We enjoyed our visit to Denver area and to her home there.  We are so fortunate to have known her, Richard and the two of you, Mary and Bill.

I met Susan in our GRI classes, she was so warm and friendly.  She invited me to her investment group meeting but I was dealing with illness in my own family at the time.  I had the opportunity to reconnect with her a couple of months ago when I had a buyer interested in one of her listings...it was such a pleasure! I was in shock to hear of her passing and am thankful that I met her.  You have wonderful memories to keep with you forever.  My heart and thoughts are with you all.

I first met Susan after Pete had Graduated from WSU and he was living with her in Bellevue, WA.  She and I liked to rib each other and it was always in a playful way.  I especially liked to call her Suskins (Pete's nik name for her.)
I am really shocked and sadden that Susan has passed away, but relieved  that she is not in pain.

Susan was such a kind, gentle & caring person. I worked 1 real estate transaction with her & found her to be a wonderful person & realtor. I am so sorry for your loss.

Six years ago, I met Susan at the real estate academy we both attended, in order to get our real estate licenses.  We connected right away, and for three months sat next to each other in class and shared stories about our lives, commiserated about our frustrations with the class material, and also had quite a few laughs.  She was easy to talk to, supportive, committed, and intelligent.  I found her to be a wonderful partner in our short journey.  We kept in touch occasionally to see how our respective careers in real estate were progressing, and to share insights and successes.  I believe each person comes into your life, whether it is for a day, months, or years for a purpose.  She was a source of support and motivation for me to pursue my career in real estate.  I feel blessed that she was a part of my life, even though it was for a short time.  Susan was obviously loved my many and will surely be missed.  I hope you find some comfort in knowing how she touched the lives of those who knew her.

To Susan's Family and Friends.  I was shocked and saddened by the news of Susan's illness and sudden passing.  But soon the memories of the great times in Seattle I had the pleasure of spending with Susan, Jodi, Jill and our group of recent graduates from Oregon State brought a smile to my face.  Her smile and laughter were infectious to those around her.   Susan always brought laughter and her joy for life no matter where our group's weekends took us: skiing in a snowstorm on Mt Hood, diving for a loose ball at the Seaside Beach volleyball tournament, or proudly showing off the attractions of Leavenworth.  I am very sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Words are insufficient to describe one's sense of loss during during such times.  Susan was a friend and colleague, and always a pleasure to work with.  We'll miss her.  To Richard and to the Walsdorf family, please know that our thoughts will be with you all during this difficult time.

Richard and the Walsdorf family.  I often think of the years we used to hang out with Susan back in Bellevue, along with Jodi, Andy, Scott, and a host of others.  We had such great times together and you could always count on Susan to lighten the mood.  I still remember the incredibly "flattering" picture we took of Susan eating breakfast and then using it for her birthday party announcement.  She wasn't very thrilled; but in true Susan fashion, she took in the sprit in which it was meant.  While we lost touch with Susan over the years, my wife Kara and I did manage to visit with Susan and Richard when we both lived in Denver a few years ago.  I remember her showing us pictures of their bike adventure in France, what a trip.  When we got the news of her devastating illness, thanks to Don Shultz, we were both in shock.  The news of her life’s journey coming to an end caused us both to breakdown.  It says a lot about a person, whom you have not kept up with like you wanted too, but still has such an impact on our lives.  The world needs a lot more people like Susan in it.  It’s an incredible loss when the world has one less.

Richard, family and friends of Susan,

I am in shock; this just doesn't seem possible.  Susan was one of the brightest, full-of-life, most optimistic people I've ever known.  Over the last few years being a parent with a young child I did not stay in touch as often as I would have liked.  I am so sad and offer many thoughts and prayers to you.  

I first met Susan in 1999 when we were working for different tech companies but both doing sales/channel marketing. Immediately she became a friend.  She had the best smile--it just lit you up; she always had the best attitude and her love of adventure was contagious.  She was always helping others.  She recommended her friend John to me who got hired at that tech company back then.  When she started as a realtor and we were discussing her early realtor newsletter, she profiled a favorite non-Profit of mine as a favor, Sister Carmen Community Center, and then always kept a spotlight on many non-profits.  

When I started dating a younger man we would chat about that which we had in common.  :-) When I married my younger man I encouraged her to do the same -- although she didn't really need it -- because Richard, she loved you so much!  As well as her nieces/nephews/parents.  She always had great stories about her family. Oh she was an inspiration.  She was just fabulous and I will miss her not being in our world.

To Richard and Walsdorf family, I am very sorry for your loss. Susan was such a nice and professional person, she alwasy had a smile on her face and would just brighten your day.

I met Susan back in 1999. We both worked in streaming sales for VStream, which later became Evoke and Raindance. She was perhaps one of the nicest people I have ever met, and a true professional. I really will miss her positive attitude and smile a lot. My sincere condolences to Susan's family and husband.

Dear Richard, Bill, Mary, Peter and Hope: Today you will be saying good-bye to Susan in Boulder, CO. Know that there are many of us elsewhere - who could not be there today - who are celebrating her life. She made my High School years some of the best of my life and I am forever grateful our friendship continued through the years. I'm deeply sorry for your loss. It's one we all share. Although it's been years since I last saw Susan, I still recall fondly the times we spent together as part of the gang of young twenty-somethings who decended on and hung out together in Seattle in the late 80's after graduating from college.  She was truely a breath of fresh air -  always ready with a smile, even after midnight phone calls begging her to drive home a carload of drunken boys after the bars had closed.  (Why she stayed friends with us, I'll never know)... I especially remember how good of a skier Susan was; ski trips we took to Crystal Mountain,  Stevens Pass, and the time she made me put snow chains on her new Honda in a blizzard at Mount Hood.  (Payback for one of the midnight calls, no doubt).  And the time she spiked a volley-ball off my face.  
I am very sorry for your loss.  She will be forever in my heart.

Dear Richard, Bill, Mary and Brother Pete-what a tragedy to hear of Susans passing.  She was alwas a dear friend of mine and i am thankful for the wondeful memories we shared, From out summers at Seaside playing volleyball to our annual ski parties, Susan was always the life of the party and no roadtrip would be complete without her.  There was no brighter beam of sunshine and good will than Susan.  
Along with all of you, I already miss the sound of her voice and laughter as she spoke with, counseled, planned trips and events with friends, family, colleagues and clients, just outside my door at ReMax. She was always there to listen and lend her support and encouragement or share a tip or a story to help with a difficult situation or a technical dilemma. She was so smart and honest and she made us laugh. Who knew how incredibly strong she was? For Tom Cohen and I, it's like we lost our "third wheel" and it will never quite be the same without Susan's lilting voice on the "west side" at ReMax. She was my pal and I am forever grateful for the short time I basked in her goodness and light! I miss you "chicky".
