William J. Laughlin

Bill was born February 27, 1929 to Leland and Rose (Korleski) Laughlin in Omaha, NE. He joined the U.S. Marines at age 17 and was honorably discharged on July 26, 1948. He returned to Omaha and attended Creighton University. He married Phyllis Nowasell in 1957. In 1966 they settled in Boulder where he was involved in data processing. Bill was active in his church community, St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church.

Bill is survived by his wife Phyllis; two daughters Liz Springer (David) and Suzanne Laughlin; three sons, John Laughlin (Sara), Patrick Laughlin and Tim Laughlin (Cam); six grandchildren, Tristen, Meghann-rose, Jordan, Sophia, Tehya and Cade. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

Throughout his life Bill always put his family first. A generous and compassionate soul, Bill never lost his sense of humor during his struggle with Alzheimer’s. He will be missed dearly.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am, Friday, February 22, 2013 at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 3300 Table Mesa Dr., Boulder.
