Anne was a stay-at-home mom until her daughter started Kindergarten when she began working part-time at Key’s Drug Store in Irondequoit, New York. Anne then worked at the Lincoln Rochester Trust Co., for many years as a bank teller. Before online banking and computers, everyone went to the bank each week to cash or deposit their paycheck and everyone knew Anne at the drive-up window. Anne was an avid bridge player and earned countless lifetime master points playing duplicate. She belonged to bridge groups at Sunnyside. Even in her later years, she played gin rummy with family members and was a force to be reckoned with.

Through her interest and perseverance, she was instrumental in having Sunnyside bring in the first portable computer lab offered through Sarasota County Technical Institute. She took classes for about 2 years.
Anne was an avid knitter. She made many sweaters and sweater sets, often selling them at Sunnyside’s Holiday Bazaar when her closet was too full. She always wore colorful sweater sets she had knitted in patterns she designed herself. She knitted afghans, baby blankets, and sweaters for each of her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
Anne collected butterflies. She accumulated turquoise butterfly jewelry in her travels to Las Vegas. Her family often brought her unusual butterflies when they travelled. She always received at least one new item at Christmas and on her birthday. Her varied collection was chosen to be displayed in a special showcase in the community center at Sunyside.
