Annie L. Sancho

Weldon. She was the second of 13 children and is predeceased in death by her parents and siblings

Mattie, Bertha, Odaris, Mary Ellen, Charles and Willie, Jr. She was a loving wife to husband, Herman

Sancho until his passing in 1997.

Mrs. Sancho graduated from Tuskegee Institute in Tuskegee, Alabama with a bachelor's degree in Home

Economics. She then returned to South Carolina and worked as an elementary school principal until she

married and moved to Florida in 1953. In Florida she taught Home Economics at various Manatee

County schools for over 30 years and was a member of The Retired Educators' Consortium. She was

baptized into the Church of Christ after her move to Florida and was a faithful member of the 201

Church of Christ family.

She leaves to mourn her passing; daughter, Andrea Simpson (Johnny III); grandsons Breon (Katherine)

and Johnny IV; granddaughter, Alaura Great grandchildren Dezi, Keyanna and Breon Jr.; Sisters, Ruth

Daniels and Oretha Brown of Columbia, South Carolina; Betty Weldon and Marjorie Weldon of Charlotte

Court House, Virginia; Brothers, Paul Weldon (Frances) of Columbia, South Carolina and John Weldon of

Virginia Beach, Virginia; host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11am on Sat. May 31, 2014 at Church of Christ, 201 10th Ave E., in Bradenton.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Church.
