Carrie May Beatty

May was born September 14, 1938 in Henry, Illinois, The daughter of Archie C. and Carrie Leona (Wabel) Carter. She married Gordon F. Beatty in 1959 in Princeton, Illinois.

She worked at the Bureau County Clerk's office for many years before moving Florida with her husband. In Florida she worked ten years for Presbyterian Retirement Community before retiring and enjoying golf, working on craft projects and worldwide travel.

May is survived by on daughter, LaMay Lorenzen, one granddaughter Jacki Lorenzen and four great grandchildren, Noraya, Elijah, Thomas and Ashton. One sister, Helen Duffield, one Brother, Tom Carter, aunts, uncles, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by her husband in September 2000; companion, Alexander (Sandy) Parkhill in June 2019; grandson, Bradley McDaniel; Parents and one brother, Herb Carter and grandparents.

Cremation rites were accorded with a private graveside service October 31, 2021 in Bradenton, Florida.
