Charles Richard “Dick” Conoyer was born on May 19,1943 to parents James and Esther Conoyer of St. Peters MO. Dick was a maverick and an inspiration to all who knew him. A self made man who grew up in a small rural community with no more than a high school education, he went on to start his own commercial office furniture manufacturing company in upstate New York. CCN International is maker of bespoke high end office furniture working with many of the Fortune 500 companies. Dick was successful because he innately understood people, was passionate about his company and fiercely competitive.
He was also an avid golfer. He played on golf courses all over the world and loved being the one to make the final putt on 18 to win it all! Besides winning many tournaments, he also had a hole-in- one and a double eagle to his credit. Dick loved being with people. A quick wit and a great story teller made him the life of the party. He loved his family deeply and always showed up for them.
Dick is survived by his daughters Ashlyn Perry and Dana Zalkauskas, his wife Cathy Conoyer, his sister Loraine DuBois and two granddaughters McCaela Miley and Kyle Zalkauskas, two great grandsons and many nieces and nephews. He remained life long friends with his first wife, Deanna Herrin. Dick changed so many lives and was such an inspiration to all. He also loved animals and would be delighted to have any donations to an animal shelter or wildlife center in his memory. A Celebration of Life will take place in St. Peters, MO on Saturday, October 11 at Hobo’s at the Legion at 12:00 pm.
Family request any donations to be made to Tunnel to Towers or your local animal shelter.
