Dessie Hope Curtis, age 98, of Palmetto, Florida passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023. She was born in Ovid, Michigan on February 1, 1925. Dessie was a graduate of Ovid High School. She was united in marriage to Floyd L. Curtis on June 23, 1941.
Dessie has a career as a Pharmacy Technician for Oneco Drugs & Walgreens. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and The Tatum Ridge Baptist Church. Dessie had a passion for sewing, cooking, flowers, and her family.
She is survived by her children, Marilyn Seymour & Floyd (wife, Ursula) Curtis; son-in-law, Roy Pope; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren.
A visitation for Dessie will be held Sunday, August 20, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Manasota Memorial Park, 1221 53rd Ave East, Bradenton, FL 34203. A funeral service will occur Sunday, August 20, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 1221 53rd Ave East, Bradenton, FL 34203. A burial will occur Sunday, August 20, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 1221 53rd Ave East, Bradenton, FL 34203.
