Donna Leann Bailey (Bartelt), 78, a beloved wife, deeply caring mother, and loving grandmother, passed peacefully into the presence of her Savior with family at her bedside after a short but very brave battle with cancer.
Donna was married to the love of her life, William Bailey, for over 55 years and made her home in Adrian, Michigan. A devoted homemaker and mother of four. Donna was very proud of her family, whom she lovingly served throughout her life. Her love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, shaped the way she cared for others—with grace, gentleness, and compassion. Donna was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Adrian, Michigan.
Donna delighted in time spent with her husband and children and also found joy in making handmade cards, creating ceramics, and working on puzzles. Her warm smile lit up every room she entered, and her genuine, sweet spirit and kindness touched everyone she met. She had a way of bringing peace into a room and was an absolute joy to be around.
For the past 14+ years, Donna and William enjoyed being Florida snowbirds, residing in Ellenton. She cherished this season of life and the special friendships she made with close neighbors.
She is survived by her loving husband of over 55 years, William Bailey; her daughter, Kim Rogers (John) of Gainesville, GA; their daughter, Robyn Correa (Elias) of Punta Gorda, FL; and their son, Albert Bailey (Stefanie) of Mount Juliet, TN; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Evelyn (Loewen) Bartelt; her daughter, Lisa Lang; and her husband’s parents, Robert Ellis Bailey and Mabel Mae (Woerner) Bailey.
A celebration of Donna’s life will be held in Adrian at Faith Baptist Church at a later date this spring
