Doris Brooks was a wonderful lady. She was a lover of life and great nurturer. She and I had a common love, birds. I loved having her come visit. We sat and talked about family and birds. I will miss our time we were able to spend together on this earth. She will be remembered as a kind loving person. I look forward to our next visit in heaven. Until then I will think of her often. Blessings to the family. Jonathan, you know how much your Nana loved you. She has her eyes on you from above. Hugs to you sweetie. Debbie

Grandma, your life was full of loving deeds, forever thoughtful of our special needs. Today and tomorrow, my whole life through, I will always love and cherish you. You will be missed very much. But, always in our thoughts. Love you Grandma.

Not only were you a very loving and caring Mom you were my best friend. No words can describe the lost of a Mom. You may be gone but never forgotten.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

 Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
 Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
 That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
 God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

 It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

 God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not  be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day, Unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, Still missed and very dear. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves memory no one can steal.

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Brooks Family in this time of loss.  Remember, memories are of the heart....you never lose them.  Keep her close to your heart and she will be with you always!

Grandma was there for me a lot as a child and as I grew up and had a family of my own we visited her quite a bit. We are so thankful we were able to enjoy her company.  My wife loved to sit and talk to her while I took care of her lawn and we helped her with her beloved birds and chickens.  She was such a kind and loving woman. We are thankful she was able to meet our daughter and my son. She will be greatly missed and loved. May she fly high in heaven with the birds she loved so very much!  We will always remember her. It's surreal she has passed. May she find peace. Love you grandma.

The world lost a wonderful and caring person.  We are truly going to miss her.  She was the best grandmother anyone could ask for.  My heart is broken and a big void is there, where no one can fill that void.  She will always be in my memories, cause every time I see a bird I will think of her and smile.  She was always loving, caring and thoughtful. She was always willing to give a helping hand to any one in need.  No matter what.  She always found the good in a person.  You will be missed.  Love you grandma Doris.

she was the best great grandmother anyone could ever for.  She was always their for me no matter what the circumstances were.  She was my best friend, and a great mentor to me.  Her memories will always be with me. love you Nana.

Although you're gone. I'm not alone. And shall I never be. For the precious memories of the bond we shard will never depart from me. Our love surpassed the
ups and downs and helped us along the way. And that same love will give me strength to manage this loss each day. On my mind and in my heart, Mom, you shall forever be, for just as much as I am apart of you, you are a part of me.

There will be an empty chair at the holiday table this year, but it will be filled with loving memories.
