Elliott D. Metcalf

After graduating from Sarasota High School in 1964, Elliott served as a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force and was Veteran of Vietnam, honorably discharged on Sept 2, 1972. Once retired from the Air Force, he attended and completed Pinellas Mechanical Pipe Trades of A/C, Refrigeration and Pipefitting and also became a certified welder and began his career with the Union, Local 111. Retiring in 1995 from the Union, he and Sandy took a well-deserved vacation to Alaska, and then he returned to work at Eaton for another 13 years, finally retiring for good in 2008. His retirement years were enjoyed by spending time with his wife, kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and also relaxing in his favorite spot on his couch playing solitaire.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 yrs Sandra, His daughters Patricia Tucker (Jason Tucker), Christine Metcalf (John Burns) and son Elliott Metcalf (Sina Larghi) His Grandchildren, Kaila Headrick (Josh Headrick) and Weston Tucker, Bobby and Layla Metcalf, Zoe and Zane Burns, and Great Grandchildren Natalee and Piper Headrick, his brothers Greg Bannon and Tom Bannon and his long time best friends, Larry and Joyce Cole.

Elliott was a well-respected, honest, hardworking, loving, devoted, and selfless, husband, father and "Papa". He has left us way too early and is deeply missed and loved.

A celebration of Elliott's life will be held at a later date to be announced.
