

Floyd honorably served in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant after 20 years of distinguished service. Following his military career, he co-founded Armorit LLC, an engineering and manufacturing company based in Sarasota, Florida. Floyd's leadership and passion for his work were evident as he actively managed the company for over two decades, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and employees.
He was a loving husband to Roxie Asbury for 32 years and a devoted father to Erik Asbury and stepfather to Jennifer Lecompte, Randy Cox, and Dennis Cox. Floyd was also a cherished grandfather to Hunter Asbury and many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His sister, Carol Buckley, along with multiple aunts and extended family members, will also fondly remember him.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Asbury and Elza Hodges.
Floyd's life and legacy will be celebrated at Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home at Manasota in Bradenton, Florida. His commitment to his family, career, and country will be remembered by all who knew him.
A visitation will be held at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Manasota Memorial Park, located at 1221 53rd Ave East, Bradenton, FL, 34203, on October 3, 2025, from 8:30 am to 9:00 am.
The funeral service will follow at the same venue from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
A committal service with military honors will take place at Florida National Cemetery, located at 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL, 33513, on October 3, 2025, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
